Change a direct report's leader

Applicable Roles:
  1. Administrators 

In most organizations, employees have a hierarchy of managers and those managers have a team of people they oversee. The people being managed are also known as direct reports, meaning that the individuals report directly into a specific manager. Follow the steps here to ensure that your reporting lines are accurate. By doing so, you ensure that managers have visibility into specific data of their direct reports.

You can change a direct report’s leader in two ways:
  1.    From Manage Organization table view.
  2.    From the Tree view page.

Change a direct report’s leader from the Manage Organization table view

Follow the steps below to change the leader of a direct report from the Manage Organization table view.
  1. Click TEAM from the menu bar and select My Org



  2. Locate the user whose leader you want to change in the Manage Organization table view.



  3. Click the kebab menu () under the Actions column and click  Change Leader.
  4. Choose a new leader for that user from the dropdown list provided.


  5. Click CHANGE


    The table data should reflect the changes made. 



Change a direct report’s leader from the Tree view page

Follow the steps below to change the leader of a direct report from the Tree view page.
    1. Click TEAM from the menu bar and select My Org



    2. Click the VIEW button next to the user whose leader you want to change.



    3. Select a card for the user.
    4. Right-click the card (Ctrl-click if using a Mac).
    5. Click Change Leader

       

    6. Select a user from the drop-down list.



    7. Click the CHANGE button.


    The Tree view will reflect the changes made.
